Privacy Policy

When you scan a record, the photo you take or pick is used to identify the pressing. When online recognition is enabled, that photo is sent securely to our recognition service to look up the record. It is not retained after processing, is not shared, and is never used for advertising or tracking.

Your collection and scan history are primarily stored on your device. If you use optional Sign in with Apple or server-backed family features, we process the anonymous Apple user identifier, membership state, and the minimum service data needed to provide those features.

We use PostHog for limited product analytics and AppsFlyer to measure app installations, deep links, and campaigns promoting our apps, including campaigns on Meta. AppsFlyer may forward eligible installation and in-app event information to the advertising platform for campaign measurement and optimization, subject to the applicable platform settings and privacy requirements.

This processing can include an app-generated random identifier, an AppsFlyer installation identifier, the device's identifier for vendor (IDFV), the current App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization status, the IP address associated with the event request, operating-system version, app identity and version, campaign identifiers, and limited events such as onboarding completion, first scan, and paywall view. IDFA collection is disabled in the current app. Photos, recognition results, free-form input, email addresses, names, and payment-card data are not included in these analytics or attribution events.

AppsFlyer's SDK may also process approximate location derived from an IP address, technical device and network information, and limited app-launch or performance information for measurement, service operation, and fraud prevention. We use AppsFlyer's Aggregated Advanced Privacy settings to restrict user-level attribution information for users who have not granted ATT consent; eligible campaign measurement remains available in aggregate form. These settings do not authorize identifying or tracking users across other companies' apps or websites without the permission required by the platform.

On this website, Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you choose Allow analytics. We use query-free page paths and five fixed events to understand SEO article views, 50% and 90% article reading progress, App Store call-to-action visibility, and App Store clicks. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, form or search text, full query strings, raw referrers, user or session identifiers, advertising identifiers, receipts, or other free-form text.

Google may process network and device information, including IP address and browser user-agent data, when it provides the analytics service. We configure analytics without Google Signals, Google Ads linking, advertising personalization, or advertising consent. We do not use the website analytics data for cross-site advertising.

You can reject analytics before any tag is loaded, or change your choice at any time through Analytics settings in the footer or on this page. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and removes Google Analytics cookies accessible to this site, but it does not automatically delete data that was previously aggregated by the provider. The GA4 retention setting must be approved before analytics is enabled in production.

Apple processes billing. Our server verifies Apple's signed transaction data to provide subscription access and prevent duplicate purchase reporting. For eligible App Store transactions, our server may send AppsFlyer the verified product identifier, transaction identifier, transaction time, amount and currency, together with the installation and device information described above. AppsFlyer may forward eligible purchase, subscription, or trial events to the corresponding Meta app data source to measure and optimize campaigns promoting that app. The app does not independently send standard purchase revenue events to AppsFlyer from the device.

Deleting the app removes local app data. If you signed in, use Settings → Delete Account to request deletion of the account and associated server-side service data. You may also contact Support for privacy requests.
